📖 Story

Working in financial services, friends Nitika and Lis saw firsthand how underserved women were in the financial landscape, but they also felt it personally.

For Nitika, learning to take control of her finances was challenging. She realised it wasn’t just about numbers; emotions and beliefs played a huge role. To take control, she had to challenge them.Seeing that 72% of women don’t feel empowered to act on their finances, they became determined to change this.

Their mission? To close the gender wealth gap by helping women achieve their life goals with financial confidence.

👀 Reasons to watch

  • The gender wealth gap is expected to take 7 generations to close - Alia is looking to empower women to take control of the finances which will help close this gap quicker!
  • Aila doesn't just tell people to budget or invest, they centre everything around the life women want and then give them the personalised education, action tracking and access to experts in order to help them achieve these goals.
  • Even on a no-code beta, they have been able to make a positive impact on the confidence levels of women, resulting in users investing over £250k which they wouldn't have done otherwise.
  • They're addressing a massively underserved market in financial services since less than 50% of women in the UK can pass a basic financial literacy test. Empowering this group isn’t just important, but a huge opportunity. With a $84 trillion in wealth transfer set to take place globally by 2045, ensuring women have the financial confidence to manage and grow their wealth is more critical than ever.
