Mechanical Engineering Manager

• Take ownership of the mechanical engineering development of QLM’s lidar systems for industrial gas monitoring and the associated mechanics for high volume and increasingly automated manufacturing.

• Ensure adherence to rigorous product documentation control, product testing and continuous improvement practices as required to produce robust, high quality and highly scalable products qualified for industrial operation

• Work closely with QLM’s commercial business and senior technical leaders to define, develop and deploy new product features and architectures appropriate for new applications

• Be responsible for helping with product development planning and execution to schedule and budget

• Recruit and build a world-class mechanical engineering team

• Deliver thorough and insightful reports on product development and automation to the leadership team, the company and the QLM Board

• Manage off-site contractors and off-site employees
