Tarny Athwal

Tarny Athwal is the Founder and Managing Director of DesiCity.

He pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Computers, Networks & Communications Technology at Coventry University from 2008 to 2011.

After completing his education, he commenced his career as an IT Engineer at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire (UHCW) NHS Trust in January 2012, where he worked until November 2013.

From November 2013 to March 2016, Tarny held the position of IT Project Manager at Coventry & Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust.

He then transitioned to the role of IT Project Manager at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire (UHCW) NHS Trust in April 2016, where he worked until June 2017.

He became an IT Project Manager at the University of Warwick from June 2017 to April 2019.

Following this, Tarny took on the role of Technical Project Manager at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire (UHCW) NHS Trust on a contract basis, starting in May 2019 and concluding in December 2021.

Tarny embarked on a new entrepreneurial venture as the Managing Director of DesiCity, a role he has held  since January 2021. A one-stop marketplace for buying and selling anything South Asian
