Chases after outliers. Only invest if a company has the potential to be a large, valuable, global market leader. Cares more about the magnitude of the return if things work, and less about minimizing risk in a company’s early days.

Prefers to be the first venture investor. Follows our investments, aiming to be shareholders for seven to ten years. We invest as little as $250,000 to seed a company and as much as $5,000,000 to lead a round.

Likes taking risks on brilliant people and products. Prefers to work with founders who are technical or domain experts in their industry. Prefers founders on a mission to change the one thing they think is fundamentally broken in the world. Doesn't mind young or first-time founders.

Not bankers and  not consultants. Grown up in the tech industry. Worked at some of the most prominent tech companies, including Google, Intel, Microsoft and Sun Microsystems.

Believes if you can’t invent the future, the next best thing is to fund it.
